What is life coaching?
- Life coaching is a way of providing people with personal support that is committed to their success and development. The coach is someone who will make a difference to the client’s life by supporting them and encouraging their professional and personal growth.
- Through conversation, clients are helped to understand why they find themselves in their current situation and then to find strategies, motivations and focus to design and move towards new, better situations.
- A coach will help clients identify where they are now where they want to be and how to get there: and then keeps them on track until they achieve their goals.
- Life coaching is not about being a therapist or counsellor; it is not about looking back into past experiences or emotional issues. Equally it is not a short-term measure to cope with a crisis.
Life coaching is about performing at your best through the individual and private assistance of someone who will challenge, stimulate and guide you through the process.
